Whoa .... I thought I had a new talent! Some people can make clocks stop ... well, I looked out at the falling snow ... and IT STOPPED!!! I wondered how this was possible, but I remembered last year, I stopped the teeny weeny flakes from falling (they seemed to stop just before landing on the ground. They were joined by other teeny weeny flakes, until ... they became FOG!

Okay, I'm getting mixed messages here. Bits of snow falling, I make them stop, (when I glace away) they begin falling again, ... Hah! I just made them stop!!!

Hold on ... the teeny weeny flakes are itsy bitsy, now. What's more, they're landing exactly where I don't want them, on streets, driveways and walkways (anything that needs shoveling) ... on the grass is fine. Check this out ...

Replacement snow flakes are arriving. These are the kind I like to watch (not as big and as fluffy, but these will do).

Holy Crap! I'm not talking about the weather anymore (especially, here in Chicago) slow, big, faster, smaller ... IT'S FREAKEN SHOW! Oh wait, I just remembered, I have a new snow plowing guy. Sure do wish that my fireplace was assembled. Maybe I'll order 1 of those Amish built Heat Surges ... or maybe 2 (the come already assembled!).

Any further thoughts will just have to wait, until I feed my growling tummy and drink lots of coffee.

Hiya, Sweets, I'm okay, just in an after my-favorite-holiday funk. Tomorrow, the Christmas decorations get put away (I am so not ready to do that). (sigh) Maybe the upcoming golf season and Elvis' birthday will help somewhat. I watched Tiger Week and tried to fill the void that I felt last season, after Tiger had surgery. This year, golf season begins, Jan. 8th, on Elvis' birthday.

What I should have done was stopped by for a visit with the Obamas, before they leave for Washington. Yayyyy! This is shaping up to be a not so crappy January after all. How are you and Sue?

I just had an evil thought ... and here's another one ... I don't put ALL the decorations away. I can leave a cluster of bells on a bow, in my desk drawer (next to my zils). It's just a thought.

Time to feed my tummy (it's growling at me!).

Thank you, for stopping by, even though you were tired. I thought of you and Sue, every time I heard fireworks go off in the area. Heck, I thought about both of you, even before that. Glad that everything went well. How's Sue??? I'll be stopping by her page next.

Good Grief! You remind me of the boy that lived at the end of my block, when I was little. His name was, Frankie, and he liked bugs. Hmmm ... but you're not a big fan of lobster. Actually, I'm not either, I just like their tails! YUM!!!
12/29/2008 6:14 PM

The bike trip sounds like it will be lots of fun. Just make sure that both of you have those bug shields on your helmets. Being able to feel the wind is one thing, bugs on your teeth, is another. (Don't forget the lip balm).

Lobster tail is my downfall. I moan the whole time that I suck the butter off of it, before popping it into my mouth. Actually, I begin a low soft moan the moment that it's brought to me. It's so succulent and ... Ohhhhhh, that's good stuff!!!

Whoa ... that's some cold front. My ex is from Miami, so I know his idea of cold. I've been to Tarpon Springs, lotsa years back, though. A sponge is a sponge is a sponge, no matter the year, but it was fascinating to see. Did ya have something yummy to eat? I love seafood ... and meat.

Fresh air is good. I keep forgetting the y'all from Florida. I'm from the frozen North, so any mention of a motorcycle ride, and I picture myself (strapped to a bike), howling with the wiping wind, snow spatters on the shield of my helmet. Ah yes ... fresh air in Chicago!

If you think, that I thought, you might be naughty ... Well, "If the shoe fits, wear it". If you aren't worred about it, put in a pool.

The crappy weather continues. At least, the dense fog and rain waited, until AFTER Christmas, this year. Usually our white Christmas is nothing more than a wish (Hah! I just heard thunder, again).

One December, a while back, I went to Florida (it was my first flight, ever). Within hours after leaving, a very snow-covered Chicago, I was walking on sand. It was like a dream come true, until I saw it ... Holy Crap! ... a huge, dead, red bug, on the sidewalk. Don't think that I saw another dead one or a live one, for that matter, the rest of my stay. Listening to Christmas songs, poolside, while dressed in nothing more than a bikini, was a bit weird. So was the sight of Floridians decorating their trees, while wearing shorts. A Vail Christmas, would be nice ... but then I'd hightail it to, Miami. (If I find any photos, of my vacations to Ft. Lauderdale and Vail, I'll send them to ya, on Myspace). Has, Sue, recovered from the 4 hour long motorcycle ride, or has she been sampling the vodka?

12/27/2008 2:14 AM

So ... how often has your pool been yellow?
12/26/2008 2:52 PM

Since you don't get freezing weather in Florida, how do ya know when you've pissed, Santa, off???
12/26/2008 2:50 PM

Ya should've requested some of the cool weather, sooner. It's 33, now, (32 windchill)the forecast is for 40. Tormorrow, 55, then 30 on Saturday, with the possiblity of more snow. Yesterday, felt like a Sunday to me, so I was all mixed up, as well as cold.
12/26/2008 2:40 PM

Either, Sue, got well, very fast, or you were having a another fantasy dream. If you took her out on a 4 hour motorcycle ride, she'd be making another appointment with the doctor ... TODAY!

As for my Christmas, it went great ... until my lower back gave out. I guess, I should have kept it to only one day of celebrating, two days, may have been one too many. Oh well, today, should be better, I'll be a guest, instead of the hostess (no cooking!).
